Monkey Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey Eotaxin (Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) using a capture antibody specific for Eotaxin. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Eotaxin antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and the yellow colour intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with Eotaxin concentration calculated against a standard curve.

Reactivity is specific to monkey samples. The quantitative assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <7.3 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been evaluated in n=5 samples of each matrix: serum averaged 91% (range 80%-102%), EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81%-100%), and heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was demonstrated, with reported ranges of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.
