Monkey Cytochrome P450 1A1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) to which an anti-CYP1A1 capture antibody has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added and CYP1A1 present in each sample binds to the wells. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CYP1A1 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate then visualises the reaction: catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and CYP1A1 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m with colourmetric detection. Reported recovery values (n=5) are serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–101% (average 91%), and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is detailed for each sample type. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
