Monkey Connexin 43 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of monkey Connexin 43/GJA1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Connexin 43/GJA1 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Connexin 43/GJA1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved with a TMB substrate, and the absorbance read at 450 nm is proportional to the concentration of Connexin 43/GJA1 in each well.

Manufacturer specifications state a sensitivity of <0.076 ng/ml, a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader using a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip plate. Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 91% in serum (n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution linearity tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each matrix. Supplied components include lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
