Human Y-Box Binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Y-Box Binding Protein 1 (YB1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids, with reactivity specific to human samples.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection. An antibody specific for YB1 is immobilised on the plate, and YB1 in standards or test samples is captured, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-YB1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The reported sensitivity is <0.063 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery data supplied by the manufacturer covers serum (average 91%, range 80%-102%; n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81%-100%; n=5), and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80%-89%; n=5). Additional recovery values are reported at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for each matrix. Kit components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
