Human X-Box Binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro measurement of human X-Box Binding Protein 1 (XBP1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The procedure uses a microplate pre-coated with an XBP1-specific capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-XBP1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Manufacturer specifications report a sensitivity of 0.063 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery data for serum (n=5) span 80%–102% with a 91% average; EDTA plasma (n=5) span 81%–100% with a 90% average; and heparin plasma (n=5) span 80%–89% with a 84% average.
