Human Wolfram Syndrome Protein 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human WFS1 (Wolfram Syndrome Protein 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for WFS1. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by washing and incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-WFS1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of WFS1 captured in each well, with the concentration calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.103 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery data (n=5) covers serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%), alongside dilution linearity values at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions. The kit is intended for human samples and is run on a pre-coated microplate platform read on a colorimetric microplate reader.
