From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative determination of human WAP Four Disulfide Core Domain Protein 5 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The colourmetric assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read at 450 nm, with an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <35 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: standards and samples are incubated in wells pre-coated with target-specific antibody, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-target Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of target captured, calculated against a standard curve. Reported spike-and-recovery values include serum (80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
