Human vWF ELISA Kit

A sandwich (quantitative) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human vWF in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. From Antibodies.com, the kit uses a monoclonal antibody specific for human vWF that has been immobilized onto microwells. Standard or samples are pipetted into the wells, and vWF present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing away any unbound substances, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for vWF is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP is added. After washing, substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of vWF bound by the immobilized antibody. The colour development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density value is measured by a microplate reader.

The assay shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human vWF. The product range is 78.13 - 5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.47 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is reported as 101%. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform. Store at +4°C and do not use past the expiration date.
