Human Von Willebrand Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Von Willebrand Factor in plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and an antibody specific for Von Willebrand Factor, with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated from a standard curve.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of <0.53 ng/ml and an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reactivity is to human samples. Average recovery was assessed in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80–102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81–100%), and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in the same three sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
