Description
From Antibodies.com, this assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human VDAC1/Porin (Voltage Dependent Anion Channel Protein 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. It employs a sandwich ELISA technique using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.
The working assay range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 13.8 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. In validation studies (n=5), average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity was confirmed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
