Human Visinin Like Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human VILIP3 in tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for use with human samples and is suitable for research applications requiring quantitative measurement of this target.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for VILIP3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where VILIP3 is captured by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-VILIP3 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic catalysis, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of VILIP3 captured in each well. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of VILIP3 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Quantitative performance is supported by a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
