Human VIPR2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human VIPR2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The manufacturer's product literature refers to the same target protein as VPAC2. The assay is completed in 4 hours on a pre-coated microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells where VPAC2 binds the immobilised capture antibody; a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then applied, producing a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. Concentration is calculated from absorbance read at 450 nm against the standard curve.

It is described as specific for VPAC2 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Manufacturer validation data show recovery in serum (n=10) of 86-100% (average 95%), in EDTA plasma (n=10) of 86-102% (average 93%), and in Heparin plasma (n=10) of 85-100% (average 92%). Dilution linearity is reported for the same three sample types at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Reagents are shipped at +4°C and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as detailed in the protocol manual.
