Human Vesicular Monoamine Transporter 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vesicular Monoamine Transporter 2 (VMAT2) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The immunoassay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-VMAT2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is catalysed to a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the VMAT2 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.063 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery values are documented for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%, mean 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%, mean 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%, mean 84%), together with linearity data for each matrix across serial dilutions.
