Human Vesicular Acetylcholine Transporter ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vesicular Acetylcholine Transporter (VAChT), this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-VAChT detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Bound VAChT is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the yellow intensity proportional to VAChT concentration.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.117 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery across five samples is reported as 93% for serum (range 85–101%), 92% for EDTA plasma (86–99%), and 94% for heparin plasma (87–101%). Linearity data are provided for dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit is for research use only.
