Human Vesicle Associated Membrane Protein 2 ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vesicle Associated Membrane Protein 2 (VAMP2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for VAMP2, arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Captured VAMP2 is detected using a biotinylated anti-VAMP2 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In validation testing with n=5 per matrix, average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was assessed across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
