Human VCAM1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human VCAM1 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human sVCAM-1 is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for sVCAM-1. After incubation, unbound substances are removed and streptavidin-HRP is added. Substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of sVCAM-1 bound; the reaction is stopped with acid and the optical density is measured by a microplate reader.

The assay covers a product range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <2.65 pg/ml, and can assay both native and recombinant human sVCAM-1 with no significant cross-reactivity reported. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform, with an average recovery of 99% from serum samples. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
