Human Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Receptor 1 (VPAC1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Capture is performed using an antibody specific for VPAC1, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-VPAC1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is then added and the reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the VPAC1 concentration in each well.

The reported sensitivity is <0.045 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Average recovery values reported are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
