From Antibodies.com, this in vitro quantitative sandwich ELISA is designed for the measurement of human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and a total runtime of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.236 ng/ml and a product range of 0.625–40 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) yielded averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity of dilution (n=5) spanned 87–91% at 1:2, 87–107% at 1:4, 74–101% at 1:8 and 92–97% at 1:16 for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma.

Kit contents include a lyophilized standard supplied as 2 vials, Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
