Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C (VEGFC) in serum, platelet-poor plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection performed colorimetrically by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The manufacturer specifies a measuring range of 62.5–4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <23.7 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are incubated with an immobilised anti-VEGFC antibody, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-VEGFC Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with intensity proportional to VEGFC concentration. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.

Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma sample types.
