Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B (VEGFB) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and employs a pre-coated microplate with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm.

The assay uses a biotinylated anti-VEGFB detection antibody in conjunction with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a chromogenic signal proportional to VEGFB concentration. The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is 6.3 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery testing across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 each) yielded average recoveries of 91%, 90%, and 84% respectively, with ranges of 80–102%, 81–100%, and 80–89%. Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated across the same sample types, with serum ranging 74–107%, EDTA plasma 79–108%, and heparin plasma 82–105%.
