From Antibodies.com, this competitive ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro measurement of human VSIG2 (V-Set And Immunoglobulin Domain Containing Protein 2). It is reactive with human samples and intended for use with tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay has a working range of 0.625-40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.152 ng/ml, read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. It uses a competitive enzyme immunoassay format in which VSIG2 present in samples or standards competes with pre-coated VSIG2 antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-VSIG2 antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate, with the resulting yellow colour intensity inversely proportional to the amount of VSIG2 present. Quantification is achieved by reference to a standard curve.

The kit is supplied on a pre-coated 96-well microplate platform and the total assay time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
