Human Urotensin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Urotensin II in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a colourimetric read-out measured at 450 nm, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Standards are read against a calibration range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a stated sensitivity of 6.6 pg/ml.

Spike-and-recovery testing in serum gave average values of 91% (range 80-102% across 5 samples), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum spanning 74-107%, EDTA plasma 79-108% and heparin plasma 82-105% across the dilution series. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
