Human Urocortin 1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Urocortin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Urocortin present in standards and test samples is captured by an immobilized antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Urocortin Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and referenced to a standard curve.

The standard curve covers a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <4.9 pg/ml. The full assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures between +4°C and −20°C depending on the component.

Recovery has been evaluated across matrices: serum (n=5) averaged 91% over an 80–102% range; EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 90% over 81–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 84% over 80–89%. Dilution linearity has also been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
