Human uPAR ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human uPAR in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay employs a quantitative sandwich immunoassay technique: a monoclonal antibody specific for human uPAR is immobilized onto microwell plates, and standards or samples are pipetted into the wells. Following incubation, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for uPAR is added along with streptavidin-HRP, and a colorimetric substrate is used for detection. Colour development is stopped by the addition of acid, and the optical density is measured with a microplate reader.

Reported as showing no significant cross-reactivity, the kit can assay both native and recombinant human uPAR. The assay range is 62.50 – 4000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.87 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is reported at 101%. The target, uPAR, is also known by the synonyms CD87, MO3, Monocyte activation antigen Mo3, PLAUR, U-PAR, and Urokinase plasminogen activator surface receptor.
