Human TXB2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured under the Antibodies.com brand, this competitive ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thromboxane B2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for human samples and runs as a 120 minute (2 hour) protocol on a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips.

The detection method is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. Standards and samples compete with immobilised Thromboxane B2 for binding to an assay-specific antibody, and bound HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The kit is reported as specific for Thromboxane B2 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

Performance figures from the manufacturer include a standard curve range of 1.563-100 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL. Reported average recovery was 95% in serum (range 88%–102%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 87%–105%) and 99% in heparin plasma (range 94%–104%). The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C according to the protocol manual.
