Human Tumor Protein, Translationally Controlled 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Tumor Protein, Translationally Controlled 1 (TCTP) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TCTP. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where TCTP is captured by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated anti-TCTP detection antibody is then added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a yellow product upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colourimetric microplate reader. TCTP concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.115 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Validation data show recovery ranges in serum of 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma of 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma of 80–89% (average 84%, n=5).
