Human Tubulin Beta 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human beta III Tubulin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated microplate platform with colorimetric detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The assay uses the sandwich immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for beta III Tubulin is pre-coated onto the microplate wells. Standards and test samples are added, allowing the target protein to be captured by the immobilised antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-beta III Tubulin antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Following further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of beta III Tubulin captured, and the concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Performance specifications include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.116 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 83–99%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 89% (range 80–99%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 90% (range 82–99%, n=5). Dilution performance data is provided across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
