Human Triggering Receptor Expressed On Myeloid Cells 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TREM2 (Triggering Receptor Expressed On Myeloid Cells 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for TREM2 pre-coated onto a microplate, with detection via a biotinylated anti-TREM2 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate visualised using TMB substrate.

Reactivity is specific to human samples. The product range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is reported as <21.9 pg/ml. Reported recovery of TREM2 from serum averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), from EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and from heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes, and detection is described as colorimetric and sandwich (quantitative).

Storage instructions advise keeping kit components at +4°C or -20°C as appropriate and not using the kit past its expiration date.
