Human Transportin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transportin 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate, with standards and samples added to the wells so that Transportin 2 is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Transportin 2 antibody binds the captured target, followed by HRP-avidin, TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution. The absorbance at 450 nm, read on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the concentration of Transportin 2, which is then calculated against a standard curve. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.121 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5), average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
