Human Transmembrane Protein 2 Like Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transmembrane Protein 2 Like Protein (KIAA1199) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The kit is intended for use with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay uses the sandwich immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for KIAA1199 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where KIAA1199 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-KIAA1199 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration of KIAA1199 is calculated against a standard curve. Sensitivity is reported at <0.052 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml.

Manufacturer recovery data for normal serum is 83-100% (average 91%, n=5), for EDTA plasma 90-98% (average 94%, n=5), and for heparin plasma 90-99% (average 94%, n=5). Dilution linearity ranges at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are reported as 90-99%, 82-108%, 82-96% and 92-103% respectively for serum, with corresponding ranges stated for EDTA and heparin plasma samples. Total assay time is stated as 4 hours 30 minutes.
