This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V, Member 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and follows a biotinylated anti-TRPV1 antibody / HRP-avidin / TMB substrate detection workflow, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and reactivity is specified for human samples.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing in undiluted samples gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Parallelism was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions, with reported recoveries spanning 74–108% depending on matrix. Kit components include the pre-coated plate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with per-component storage temperatures of either +4°C or -20°C as specified in the product insert.
