Human Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily C, Member 6 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TRPC6 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a TRPC6-specific capture antibody immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-TRPC6 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the TRPC6 concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.129 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagent preparation involves diluting the supplied Wash Buffer (30X) concentrate and reconstituting the lyophilised standard to a 20 ng/ml stock, then producing a serial dilution series. The procedure includes incubation steps at 37 °C with Working Detection Solutions A and B, and the plate is read after addition of acidic Stop Solution. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated, and the product is intended for research use only.
