Antibodies.com provides this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TRPA1/TSA in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, employing an antibody specific for TRPA1/TSA that is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-TRPA1/TSA Antibody is introduced, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.214 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product must not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery across serum samples (n=5) averaged 91% with a range of 80%–102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 90% with a range of 81%–100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 84% with a range of 80%–89%. The kit is suitable for use with cell lysates and tissue homogenates and is reactive with human samples.
