Human Transglutaminase 6 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transglutaminase 6 (TG6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for TG6 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added, and TG6 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-TG6 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of TG6 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve. The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.116 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Reported recovery in serum ranged from 80%-102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma from 81%-100% (average 90%), and in heparin plasma from 80%-89% (average 84%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reading requires a colorimetric microplate reader.
