Human Transforming Growth Factor Beta Receptor I ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TGF beta Receptor I in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for TGF beta Receptor I; standards and samples are added to the wells and the captured target is subsequently detected using a Biotinylated Anti-TGF beta Receptor I Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, yielding a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of TGF beta Receptor I calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The quantitative assay has a reported sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml and a working range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 x 8 well strips. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 91%, range 81-101%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80-89%). Linearity upon dilution at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been reported for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%).
