Human Transforming Growth Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGF alpha). It is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm.

The assay has a reported range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 12.78 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and samples are incubated in the pre-coated wells, where TGF alpha is captured by the immobilised antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-TGF alpha antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm and the concentration calculated from the standard curve. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
