Human Transferrin Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transferrin Receptor 2 (TFR2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colorimetric read-out measured at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

The kit is reported with a sensitivity of <0.07 ng/ml and a measurable range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In the manufacturer's validation, spike-and-recovery averaged 91% in serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Linearity upon dilution at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 gave recoveries of 74–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma and 82–105% in heparin plasma (n=5 each).
