Human Transferrin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transferrin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay is built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) carrying an immobilised antibody specific for Transferrin. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured Transferrin is detected with a biotinylated anti-Transferrin antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate plus TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The product range is 1.56-100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.67 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery in neat samples is reported as: serum (n=5) range 80%-102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) range 81%-100%, average 90%; Heparin plasma (n=5) range 80%-89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and Heparin plasma samples. Kit components are to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
