Human Transcobalamin I ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Transcobalamin I (TCN1) in serum, plasma, saliva, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), with a biotinylated anti-TCN1 detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 5.5 pg/ml, an assay range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications; kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed.

Recovery data across a dilution series (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16; n = 5) is reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma, respectively. Required equipment not supplied includes a microplate reader capable of measuring absorbance at 450 nm ± 10 nm, a 37 °C incubator, and multi- and single-channel pipettes.
