The assay has a reported product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, with results read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for TRAF6, followed by a biotinylated anti-TRAF6 antibody and HRP-avidin detection, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to TRAF6 concentration.

Reported recovery in spiked matrices (n=5) was 80-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was reported as 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma.
