Human TNF alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this ready-to-use Human TNF alpha ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative determination of TNF alpha in serum, plasma, and lysates. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for TNF alpha and is supplied in a 12 x 8 well strip format. Standards or samples are added to the wells, and any TNF alpha present becomes sandwiched between the capture antibody and a secondary detection antibody to which a peroxidase enzyme is conjugated. Addition of TMB (3, 3', 5, 5'-tetramethylbenzidine) substrate produces a colourimetric reaction, which is terminated by the Stop Solution (2 N Sulfuric Acid) so the solution turns yellow. Absorbance is then read on a spectrophotometer to generate a standard curve for protein quantification. The kit offers a sensitivity of < 1 pg/ml, no reported cross-reactivity, and is stored at +4°C, where the components remain stable for 3–6 months.
