Human Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TIMP3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TIMP3, together with a biotinylated anti-TIMP3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with results visualised using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and readings are taken on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Validated sample matrices include serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reported recovery averages across n=5 samples per matrix are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity of dilution has been tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each sample type. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
