Human Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 1 ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for in vitro measurement of human Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP1). The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with anti-TIMP1 antibody. Captured TIMP1 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP1 Antibody, then detected with HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is generated by TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour after addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. Concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8-well strips) with a reported product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 37 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min.

Manufacturer-reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5) were 80%–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Reported dilution linearity (1:2 to 1:16) ranged from 74% to 107% (serum), 79% to 108% (EDTA plasma), and 82% to 105% (heparin plasma).
