Human Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor 2 (TFPI2) in plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, with standards and samples added so that any TFPI2 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. A biotinylated anti-TFPI2 antibody is then added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. Visualisation uses a TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of <2.75 pg/ml and an assay range of 6.25-400 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery was evaluated across different sample matrices (n=5 for each): serum gave a range of 80-102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma gave 81-100% averaging 90%, and heparin plasma gave 80-89% averaging 84%. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma.
