Human TIMP-1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TIMP-1 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma.

The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human TIMP-1. The assay uses a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format: a monoclonal antibody specific for human TIMP-1 is immobilized onto microwells, standards or samples are added, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for TIMP-1. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation. Following washing, a substrate solution reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of TIMP-1 bound. The colour development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured by microplate reader.

The reported product range is 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 3.94 pg/ml. The kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past the expiration date. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform.
