Human Thyroxine Binding Globulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thyroxine Binding Globulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, using a biotinylated anti-thyroxine binding globulin detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate; the resulting yellow product is proportional to the amount of Thyroxine Binding Globulin captured in each well.

The standard curve covers 0.781–50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.33 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. In validation testing, recovery in serum ranged from 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma from 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma from 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 was generally between 74% and 108% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
