Human Thyroid Hormone Responsive ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of Thyroid Hormone Responsive protein (THRSP) in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate; standards and samples are added and THRSP is captured by the immobilised antibody. Bound THRSP is detected with a biotinylated anti-THRSP antibody, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read as absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the THRSP concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) returned ranges of 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91%.
