Human Thyroglobulin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thyroglobulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, using an immobilized capture antibody specific for Thyroglobulin, a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-based colorimetric detection system. Signal is developed with TMB substrate, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of the stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Manufacturer specifications indicate a sensitivity of 0.040 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4h 30m. Mean recovery values across sample matrices were 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-99%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Linearity was assessed at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with overall recovery ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
