Human Thymidine Phosphorylase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thymidine Phosphorylase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The quantitative measurement range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The product is for research use only.

Reported validation data give mean recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-99%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). The immunoassay format uses a biotinylated anti-Thymidine Phosphorylase detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow colour proportional to target concentration.
