Human Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin (TSLP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay is built on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing a TSLP-specific capture antibody. Standards and test samples are added and any TSLP present is bound by the immobilised antibody; bound TSLP is then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-TSLP Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the HRP-catalysed reaction generates a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to the amount of TSLP captured and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm against the standard curve. Reported standard range: 15.6–1000 pg/ml. Reported sensitivity: <6.4 pg/ml. Total assay time: 4h 30m.

Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5) average 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Reported dilution linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions spans 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.
